Senior Analyst
Zeeks is looking for a highly driven and experienced Senior Analyst to be the founding member of our analytics team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a greenfield environment and wants to have a direct impact on how data is used to drive decision-making across the company. You will work closely with leadership to design and implement the analytics function, define processes, set up data infrastructure, and create a system that delivers actionable insights across all business areas.
As the first analytics hire, you will initially build foundational elements yourself while developing a strategic roadmap for the team’s growth. Over time, you will transition into leading the Analytics and Data Engineering department, hiring and managing additional team members to support the company’s data needs.
Must have skills and qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in data analytics roles, focusing on product analytics (analyzing user behavior, product funnels, A/B testing, feature adoption).
- Strong background in web analytics, user behavior analysis, and conversion optimization.
- Extensive experience with SQL and proficiency in extracting, transforming, and analyzing large datasets.
- Hands-on experience with Python for data analysis, data collection, and transformation.
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
- Proficiency with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar).
- Knowledge of ETL processes and data pipeline development concepts.
- Understanding of statistical analysis and ability to derive meaningful insights from data.
- English B1+
Nice to have:
- Experience in the affiliate marketing, iGaming, or similar performance-driven digital marketing sectors.
- Background in the iGaming or affiliate marketing industries.
- Knowledge of digital marketing channels, attribution models, and performance metrics, and how they relate to product funnels.
- Sufficient understanding of data engineering principles to effectively collaborate with future data engineering hires on building scalable data solutions.
- Team leadership or management experience.
- Knowledge of cloud-based data solutions (GCP, AWS, Azure) and their application for analytics.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning:
- Develop a comprehensive product analytics and data strategy aligned with business and product objectives.
- Create roadmaps for analytics tooling, data requirements for product insights, and team expansion.
- Identify key performance indicators and metrics that drive business success in the affiliate marketing space.
Data Infrastructure Vision:
- Work with leadership to outline data architecture requirements and plan for implementation.
- Define data requirements for a centralized data warehouse (DWH) to enable robust analysis of product usage, user journeys, and feature adoption.
- Develop specifications for data infrastructure, particularly for product event tracking and user behavior data, that will later be implemented and scaled in collaboration with a data engineer (to be hired).
Analytics Implementation:
- Set up web analytics tracking to capture user behavior across our portfolio of websites.
- Implement marketing analytics frameworks to measure campaign performance and ROI.
- Perform advanced data analysis to uncover insights about user behavior, conversion funnels, and acquisition channels.
- Design, implement, and analyze A/B tests and other experiments to optimize product features, user experience, and conversion funnels.
Reporting & Insights:
- Develop standardized reporting systems for key stakeholders.
- Build dashboards and visualization solutions using BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
- Present findings to executive leadership and translate technical concepts into business value.
Team Building:
- Define roles and responsibilities for a growing data team.
- Develop hiring plans and timelines for expanding the analytics function, particularly identifying when to bring in a dedicated data engineer.
- Mentor and manage future team members.
